60's rewind.

People actually used to participate in this sport. I believe it's call "bowling".

Special Edition.

Not bad.

99.8% of the time I hate the outcome of a customer puking accessories onto a new bike.

But I think this guy nailed it. The T100 tank was something we've done before, and the customer choosing to use black accessories as opposed to chrome was a good call. Some different mirrors and a different exhaust and we'd definitely have something here.

Climbin'.

Dear Florida,

I fucking hate you, but weather like this makes me miss you.

Xoxo,
motoguru.

Mecatwin Triples.

I love these things. Yes, I own one so I may be a bit partial, but c'mon, you can't ignore the beauty. I will own a Legend or TBS for as long as I can still ride a bike.

Mecatwin is a French company that specializes in making Triumph's even better.

Todays Randoms.

The iPad. If anyone wants to buy me this, I wouldn't be mad.

If anyone sees Torah Bright at the X Games this weekend, please give her my number. I won't be mad. Jake Welch might be, though...

That is all.

Aussie Mates.

Niso and the boys know how to have a good time down under by the looks of things. Go check out their blog to find out for yourself. Oh yeah, I stole these two from there too.

Anything to sell a bike.

2010 has started if pretty well at the shop, we've been selling bikes on the daily. Non one wants stock colors though, so I've been swapping tins like a madman.

The gifts keep a comin'.

Ultra Digger Turbine Dragster.

My pop's Turbine Dragster at the Don Garlits museum in Florida. He donated it to a local high school, then they donated it to the museum. 185" wheelbase dragster is powered by a Turbonique 1000 hp axial-flow turbine engine. The turbine spins at 62,424 rpm, driving the rear end through a planetary gear box with a 8.67:1 ratio. Fueled by N-propyl nitrate, estimated 1/4 mile speed is 209 mph.

More from Cobo Hall in '65.

The red Ford on top has acrylic tappet covers. The bottom photo is of a Turbine run dragster. My dad started the turbine craze in Michigan at the time.

I found these in a pile of old hotrod pics from my pops.  The preunit on the bottom is actually fuel injected, check out the giganto tach. Posting more soon....

Nueva Chaqueta.

Triumph finally released this bad boy, and I snagged one as soon as the FedEx dude delivered them yesterday. Say what you will, I dig it. And yes, the name tag comes off.

Wu-Tang vs. The Beatles

Wu vocals with Beatles music. I'm diggin' it.

Download it here.

"Uh huh" is a jam.

For serious Blood Falcons only...

Is that Keith Hernandez holding a Blood Falcon?

It's been a while...

...since I've posted our resident chick in a box.

Ryan Capes can fly.

More pics from blasting day.

More shots of the blast day, I can still taste glass bead in my teeth.

Bead Blasteroni.

I took some Sporty bits down to HQ today for some clean up... Some finishing touches, and they'll be ready for paint, powder, or whatever.

Today.

The swap meet was pretty lame. I scored photo #1 in the parking lot, saw some gross wheels, and Brad got his hands on the premier issue of Harley Rider, so it wasn't a total bust.

Meat Swap.

Just found out about this 5 minutes ago. I need Sporty parts, so I think I'll go.

Cycle Art.

Neat stuff. More here.

Gypsy Run 4.

Yes, it's still 8 months away, but I just decided that I have to make it there this year.

Another Dork Custom. It's not my favorite, but I don't hate it.
